Rings of Power Season 2, Episode 3

Published by

In Rings of Power season 2 episode 2, Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) directly asks Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) to forge some of these magic rings for men. Obviously, Celebrimbor hesitates. That is until Halbrand makes him believe that he is an otherworldly messenger. What we saw was to what extent Sauron has regained his power. Rings of Power season 2, episode 3: “The Eagle and the Sceptre” allows us to catch up with the last characters that we haven’t seen yet. We get back to the Numenorians and Isildur (Maxim Baldry).

I am really in love with this season of Rings of Power. Every episode just gets better and better and the pacing has improved so much since last season. The visuals are absolutley stunning and I really hope we don’t have to wait too long for season 3. We know that we are getting at least another 2 seasons after the conclusion of the current season. But there has been no information on timeline or anything like that released yet.

Rings of Power season 2, episode 3 ends with the forging of the dwarven rings. Though we have yet to see which dwarves they were assigned to. We can assume both Durin and his father but after that we have no idea. This one was far more politically based. The people of Numenor made some decisions and pushed Middle Earth further into turmoil. Now we know that eventually Numenor will fall but is this political conflict what sets that off? Is it Sauron? Is it simply that men were too weak to hold the rings? We don’t know. Really what these first three episodes did was set up the fact that every single faction of middle earth seems to be falling apart. Because each of these factions needs a reason to have the rings. So it is doing the set up very well, we will just have to see how the fallout goes.
