So this trip didn’t just consist of Disney we did manage to make our way to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure and though there wasn’t as much eating and drinking there was still some (we had to live) so here is my list of best places to eat and drink in Universal. Now I’m actually going to summarize this really quick…the answer is Harry Potter world. On both sides of the park the best places to eat are in Harry Potter world. That is the only place you should be eating. Even if you hate Harry Potter, go ahead and get over it and go eat in Harry Potter world.
The Three Broomsticks is the best place for a nice big meal. We got the Great Feast for the 4 of us. And though it is advertised for 4 people, it easily could have fed 6. With ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, vegetables, and potatoes we had leftovers and easily could have fed 2 other people. It was also delicious and was really the only meal we needed that day.
In the other park, just on the other side of the Hogwarts Express, is the Leaky Cauldron. Another place for delicious and authentic British food. My parents shared fish and chips and they loved it, I devoured my Guinness stew it was seriously delicious and my husband loved his bangers and mash. And though my father didn’t love his split pea soup, I did, it was just a little too creamy for him but I thought it was wonderful. And more importantly (because theme park food can be really expensive) the portion sizes were bigger then you would normally expect.
Now of course I never go near Harry Potter world without getting a butterbeer. Whether you like it cold, frozen or hot it is a must have treat and my favorite part of visiting the parks. The other drink in Harry Potter world that was really good was the Tongue Tying Lemon Squash. It was kind of like a kind of creamy lemonade, but really light and not super tart. It was really good.
Universal as a whole does not have good food, but Harry Potter world specifically is nothing but delicious and delightful.
