S.G. Blaise’s The Last Lumenian series expands this year, and she heads to San Diego Comic-Con this week to unveil the next phase of her incredible worldbuilding. But before her major comic con announcement, let’s dive into the series that started it all. Don’t worry, this review remains spoiler-free. But of course you can find more in depth reviews for each of the books here or on my Vocal media page.
Throughout the series, the entire cast undergoes significant character development. Then, a twist! Instead of occasional perspective shifts, an entire book focuses on a character other than Lilla. In the fourth installment, we follow Glenna, Lilla’s best friend, as she battles the corruption within her. This perspective change is a refreshing surprise, especially with a character so well-established in previous books. I know that we are getting more of these perspective change full books from some of our other main characters soon as well. So that is definitely something to look forward to.
The fifth book, returning to Lilla and the main group, releases in December. S.G. embarks on a virtual book tour, guiding us through the seven galaxies. I am super excited to share all of the information I have on that as the release date approaches. I also know what is in store for future books and S.G. can not wait to share it with you. These books are so easy to binge read so go buy the whole series and finish it in a week like I did or savor them. But they are enjoyable and easy reads so it really could go either way.
