There has been lots of comments since the MCU released Endgame about Marvel no longer producing anything of quality. Phrases like “superhero fatigue” “go woke, go broke” and “quantity over quality” get thrown around a lot and they are all wrong. Those phrases have actually no actual validity to them whatsoever. The MCU is the same as it’s always been, very little has changed.

The reality here is that there is nothing wrong with the MCU, the quality is the same as it always was. The problem is the fans. MCU fans on the internet are now the equivalent of the Star Wars fandom. There are of course things to criticize in individual movies, but as a whole the MCU is great and anyone saying otherwise just likes to hate things. In fact most of the people saying these things never watched superhero movies to begin with. Despite the fact that superhero movies are some of the best movies of all time, and definitely of the year. Into and Across the Spiderverse are unmatched. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is so much more than a superhero movie (same could be said for that whole trilogy really). WandaVision is one of the best limited series ever written and it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s a superhero show. I am hoping that the hatred for the MCU is nothing more than a loud minority because Stan Lee would absolutely HATE some of you and your opinions. Superhero stories should bever be reduced to lesser media just because there’s characters in tights.
