WonderCon is bringing fans some wonderful opportunities to talk about the franchises that they are passionate about. Fandoms have always been a huge part of nerd culture and this year you will have a ton of chances to explore that. So if you are attending WonderCon in a couple of weekends make sure that you don’t miss out on the amazing fan based panels that are happening!
Starting with the X-Men. With the absolutely perfect timing of X-Men ‘97 recently dropping the iconic comic book team is going to have a couple of panels dedicated to them, including one with one of the writers of the new X-Men centric animated series. On Saturday in room 207 there is an X-Men Fandom panel hosted by Chandler Poling and Chris Riley. They are joined by the cast and creatives of the new X-Men ‘97 series to discuss this new depiction of the team. On Sunday in room 300E Dr. Drea Letamendi, Eric and Julia Lewald, JB Ballard and David Nett are X-amining the X-Men. There is lot’s for comic book lovers at WonderCon but these panels are perfect for any fans of the X-Men.
It’s also going to be a big weekend for Star Trek fans. On Friday in room 200A Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is getting its own panel. First featuring a sing along presentation of the episode and followed by a Q and A session with the songwriters, fans can immersive themselves in this fully interactive experience. On Saturday in room 200A Star Trek Discovery will be hosting a screening for the premiere of it’s final season. This screening will also be followed by a Q and A so you can ask all of your excited fan questions.
Last but not least there is a special panel celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gargoyles.Taking place on Sunday in room 200A the cast and crew of the incredible television show will discuss it’s themes and impact over the last 30 years.
