I am now over 20 hours into my solo playthrough of Baldur’s Gate and I am finally feeling good about playing by myself. I tried to download and play 1 & 2 but it turns out I do actually really care about the art and graphics and stuff and therefore I really can’t get through them. Sometimes things take me multiple tries and its very frustrating. My cap on the game by myself is about 2 hours, when I play with Patrick its about 4. Having to do everything by myself is a lot more taxing mentally and I get way too into the game, but I can at least function by myself now. I have been told that I need to relax…I get very invested and then all of a sudden I am cursing at my TV because I am losing a fight for the third time and I can’t seem to win. I am sure that is perfectly normal…
AND I have more then one game that I play now. Baldur’s Gate 3, Atom Eve, Overcooked with Patrick, and Island of Illusion and Mario vs Donkey Kong on our new Switch. I was never super into video games and the genres are all kind of spread out but I love playing games with my husband and on my own. It has become a really cool bonding experience for us. I am starting to get into some other games as well and hopefully the videos of me trying and failing to figure those games out will be up soon.
