We started off the new season of House of the Dragon with a grieving Rhaenyra, blood and cheese and a disgusting display between Alicent and crispy Cole. There is obviously going to be some fallout here in the second episode. With blood and cheese the dance has officially started and now the war is no longer about the throne, it is about vengeance and loss. So let’s get into House of the Dragon season 2 episode 2.

With House of the Dragon season 2, episode 2 Sara Hess proves once again that she is a bad writer. Not only were we all subjected to yet another Alicole scene, but there was a lot of ancillary crap that we really didn’t need. We spent way too much time with the smallfolk and these very random sailors. 4 scenes of literal nothingness. 4 scenes that should have been spent with our main characters. The rat catchers scene is theoretically the only one that was vaguely necessary. Crispy Cole needs to die, I am really over his existence. And she very clearly sympathizes with the Greens despite them being treasonous rapist, traitors to the crown. All it really proves is that she didn’t understand the source material, frankly I’m not even sure she can read.
