Comedian Patton Oswald and artist Jordan Blume started a new comic last year, Minor Threats. The comic focuses on lesser known, C-list heroes and villains. It is quite possibly the most comedic take on superheroes that’s ever been done in a comic book series. This year, Minor Threats comes to San Diego Comic Con.
The creative team had several announcements, the first of which was that the 3rd volume of the comic is currently being drawn. One of the best parts of how this team handles each story is that they don’t hold back. There is never a sense of wanting to save something for an adaptation or a next book. They treat every story as if it is their last, making each moment compelling and worth it.
Minor Threats and the world of Twilight City has a lot of major changes coming so whether you have been a fan from the start or you are looking for a good entrance point, there is something to get you excited. From a new comic book to another volume of the original comic, and another volume of the original spinoff comic, to a new TV show currently in development. It really doesn’t matter what your preferred vibe or medium is, there is definitely something for you.
