Well we can now say that this movie is so bad even a child could have done a better job. We had a special guest on our watch this week. In order to hear his very smart opinions you will have to watch the clips from our TikTok live because his bedtime happened before we could record. However the 9 year old did have some very good thoughts on the movie, in addition to some very adorable rambles. We do share a few of them in the actual podcast this week. We also talk about what elements of film are actually associated with the MCU and why. Also why the MCU gets so boiled down to these elements. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a deeply flawed movie of course. But it is also a deeply flawed movie.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is arguably the worst MCU entry. Besides of course the very infamous Iron Man 2 and Thor The Dark World. That said I guess it could be worse. But also I think that its movies like this that give the whole of the MCU a bad rep. This film is really the culmination of everything done in the worst way. All of the elements are truly shallow. There is very little redeemable about this film. And again we all know that my biggest film pet peeve is when movies have unrecognized potential. Now I am not going to lie and say that this film had everything that it needed, but it had some ideas. Ideas that were not developed or followed up on.
