This week while watching Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings I got a little tipsy. And oh lord does a little alcohol make this movie more bearable. Today we spent very little time actually watching or talking about the movie. We definitely both took turns exiting the room, but leaving the movie to play. Today our tangent rants include the decline of media literacy and the importance of citing your sources. Not that any of that is relevant to the actual movie analysis. I promise that we do actually talk about the movie a little bit as well. Just probably not as much as we should.
We’ve really got to get a guest on soon to keep these rewatches interesting. I am hoping to get one of our more analytical friends on so that we don’t have to spend the whole recording bullying them. I genuinely can not wait for us to switch movies. This one could not possibly get any worse. Shang Chi is one of the most boring and truly terribly written Marvel movies. It is bottom tier for sure, it is so so forgettable. We are still rewatching the rest of the MCU and phase 3 is just amazing. Phase 4 will hold up better then phase 2 did. And phase 5 is mediocre at best. I am personally not excited for phase 6 but I guess we will see what happens.
