Next up on our MCU rewatch is Captain America and The Winter Soldier, the first Captain America sequel. Patrick watched it for the first time and was impressed. It is very agreed that this is the best of the Marvel sequels thus far. This is also arguably the best film of phase 2. As of right now the Winter Soldier is in both of our top 3. Though we will talk about that as we round out the watching of this phase. As promised there is a drinking game crafted for your own rewatch, please play carefully.
Phase 2 is a little rough to get through overall but the first Captain America sequel is a bright spot. We are super ready to watch Guardians of the Galaxy to finally get something new. We have been circling the same 4 characters for 7 movies and it is definitely time for something new. We will, of course, also be watching Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings this week.
