Ant-Man is the last MCU movie in phase 2 which means we are officially on to phase 3. This is also when the origin movies start slowing down a little bit. Phase 3 had three films a year and is easily the best phase of the MCU, so we know the quality over quantity people have no idea what they are talking about. Granted most MCU internet “fans” don’t know what they’re talking about. Anyway we talk Ant-Man as an origin film and how it fits into the rest of the MCU.
Ant-Man is one of our middle of the road Marvel movies. Both Patrick and I put it nearly dead center of our current rankings. We are starting to get a clearer picture of top, middle and bottom tier Marvel movies. This will become really easy to depict after we rewatch all of phase 3. I can’t wait to finish this rewatch and prove so many points to the internet haters. We weren’t planning on watching the television shows, but Patrick hasn’t seen them so they might be worth the watch. We might add those in, depending on how long these last while we are still rewatching Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I also want to provide the most comprehensive guide through the MCU that I can, and that would include the television shows.
