Cruel Intentions has proved itself to be an incredible adaptation. They didn’t change anything major from the plot. They simply added to it, giving the characters more time to breathe and develop. I think the change in setting was brilliant and really aided the story. And though some of the characterizations were adjusted I think the integrity of the source material is fully intact. We are now in the finale of the season (perhaps series) and I hope they continue their brilliant writing through the end of the last episode. Cruel Intentions episode 8 wraps up the series while still leaving some loose ends open for another season.

Incredibly ambiguous ending for Cruel Intentions episode 8 so I am guessing that they wanted to leave themselves open for a second season. Honestly if they keep up with these vibes I am all for them taking on another season. This very well could be an ongoing show with a rotating cast of characters. They did drop the entire show at once, which I guess makes sense because it’s really just an extended version of the movie. But shows tend to do better with the weekly releases.
