Dear All Studio Executives of the AMPTP,
I wrote an open letter to the AMPTP, and it might not make a difference. In fact none of them may ever see it, but I think it does a pretty good job of laying out the current state of the industry and what the current problems really are. The fact that CEO’s and other executives are detached from reality, their workers and the public could be said for every industry. Their detachment from their workers has caused a strike wave. Their detachment from the public has resulted in poorly produced, overcontrolled tv shows and movies. It has also resulted in removing shows from streaming services which a disservice to both writers and the audience.

The AMPTP has a lot of things to answer for and though I don’t think my own personal letter that is posted on a single website will actually do anything. I want people who don’t understand what’s going on in the industry to know what’s been going on. And I want people passionate about social change to speak up and fight back, no matter what industry they are in.
