It was a magical year at LACC made so by almost half of the Weasley family. Bonnie Wright, and Oliver and James Phelps talked Harry Potter and more at their mainstage panel on Saturday at LACC.
I was straight up crying as they walked on stage. Tears streaming down my face before any of them said a word. That is the biggest struggle between being a fan and press. I was as close to the stage as it gets, I know that each one of them could see me. That was a lot of emotional knowledge for me to have and honestly I barely held it together through the other panels. I still cry tears of joy every time I watch Harry Potter, so seeing the cast (literally the boys who play my favorite character) 10 feet in front of me was so freaking cool. I was wiping tears from my eyes as I was filming because I was fangirling too hard.

Now their moderator was the same dude that did the Lord of the Rings panel and he really sucked. The stage should have been alive with energy with my Weasley twins on stage and this guy was like throwing a bouncy ball into a sandbag, he was just giving these poor guys nothing. He just refused to ride energy waves. The audience and the actors would build it up for him and he would just kill it absolutely dead. Like blank stares at them until they answered a question, there was no natural flow or rhythm to the way he led this panel at all and it was extremely disappointing.
All that said, Bonnie, James and Oliver are so naturally charming by themselves that it was of course still an enjoyable experience for the audience. We just could have gotten so much more from them if they had had a good moderator who knew what he was doing and came better prepared. Bonnie also really seems to understand what Harry Potter fans want and HBO should really listen to her.
