Guardians of the Galaxy: MCU Rewatch

Published by

Up next on our MCU rewatch is Guardians of the Galaxy. The first origin movie we have had in a while and the first fully cosmic story, Guardians is the found family film that a lot of fans want the Avengers to be. Let’s be clear the Avengers weren’t, aren’t and never were an instance of found family. they are estranged coworkers at best. they barely worked together let alone looked out for each other. The Guardians of the Galaxy however are a bunch of lonely misfits who need each other. And once they find each other they do whatever they can to stay together and take care of each other.

The Guardians end up having one of the best trilogies in the MCU. Their story is one that holds emotional weight and humor that is unmatched in the MCU. We are almost finished with phase 2. The only films we have left are; Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man. So one very questionable movie, and one boring one. That said the end of phase 2 of the MCU brings us a ton of new characters that feed phase 3. Widely known as the MCU’s best phase, phase 3 relied on 3 films a year. I think we can all guess why I have some pretty opinionated thoughts on that. With San Diego Comic Con coming up I was hoping for some new MCU news for you guys. But as there is only 1 real MCU film coming out this year the most I will have is some Deadpool and Wolverine coverage for you guys. That is if they are going to be at SDCC. Which I, of course, will not know until about 2 weeks before the convention. As far as our rewatch schedule goes, July is going to be a little rough but we will try our best to keep up with both Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the MCU rewatch.
